Fire up the grills and get ready for a heavy weight match up in the Big Ten. Today we are going to go up north to Madison, Wisconsin. The fans are all ready rabid as they wait for the number 2 team in the nation to show up, The Ohio State Buckeyes. Saturday at 8:pm eastern will be kickoff but up till then you still need good food and good drinks. That is why we are here. Today we are going with a tailgating must when you are in Wisconsin. Beer Brats!!!!
I was fist introduced to these beauties from my buddy Tim, who is from Wisconsin and a huge brewers fan. so its not that far of a stretch that he would find a way to introduce beer into about anything. But then again that's most of Wisconsin.
Such a simple recipe, take a couple beers (depends on how many you are making) pour into a pot and bring to a boil. Add the brats and let simmer till cooked. Transfer the brats to the grill and grill to golden brown. remove and serve with mustard and kraut. These brats are so amazing and go with any beer you choose to drink.
And if there is any way that your local grocery carries cheese curds, grab them. Take them home and make beer batter and fry the cheese curds up and add them to the brats and you will know how the Badger fans are feeling this weekend.
Please anybody from Wisconsin comment below and let us know what the best beer to go with this tailgating would be!!
Happy Tailgating!!!!!!!!

First off, Brewers should be capitalized.
ReplyDeleteSecond. Boil them in Pabst Blue Ribbon or High Life. (but really anything that's not a light beer.)
Pairs well with Leinenkugel Octoberfest
