Friday Night College Football

There is something in the air, do you feel it? Something is not quite right on this Friday. Its not the 13th and Halloween is still over three weeks away. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, maybe too over cautious, I'm not sure.

Tonight we are focusing on SMU vs Tulsa. SMU has been a little bit of a dissapointment this season but what were we really expecting out of them on the season as a whole. Their Defense has shown to be a wall at points in some games against pretty good offenses in TCU and Baylor. But they have not been able to put it together for more than a half. The offense has not been what it was last year. It has went backwards (and yes that has to do with Davis getting hurt) and its something that Chad Morris must fix. And after the Temple game he was certainly critical of his O-line for leaving Ben hicks out to dry for him to take a ton of hits.

Tulsa comes in off a bye week, after a double overtime win against Fresno State, in which they were down 31-0 in the first half. Tulsa scores points averaging 38 points a game they also give up 30 points a game.
Tulsa will need to have the balanced offense that makes them dangerous and also need Evans to not turn the ball over as he has 6ints this season and SMU leads the nation interceptions with 12.

This game hinges on two players in my opinion, Courtland Sutton and Ben Hicks. Can SMU find a way to get Sutton down field on some big plays against the Tulsa secondary. If they can get him going early then it will take a lot of pressure off the running game and will open some lanes for Brewer to run through. Hicks need to stop throwing INTs, he has 9 this season. We think SMU comes out tonight ready to play. Tulsa should win the game but we think SMU hangs around tonight.

Pick: SMU +15

Oh and about that feeling that's in the air, be careful tonight. There could be traps everywhere tonight!!

Good Luck to all!!!
